Images have always been interesting to me, from cinema to comics, but it’s just a few years ago that I began to approach photography with awareness. It was 2010 and I was feeling really bad, that’s when I got my first camera and started to take pictures of the world surrounding me: very soon I realized that photography was my best way to express my inner self and to communicate with other people, way better than with words.
To me, this workshop has been kind of a challenge. I don’t really like to take portraits: usually I take pictures of buildings and landscapes and the only people I take pictures of are people on the street, unaware of my presence. I wanted to go further and I took this challenge: this is the result of a two days shooting with models and stuff. I wanted to give a melancholic mood to this portfolio, this is about loneliness, abandonement and loss.
