Two Days in Spring – A Collective Portrait

de Pierre-Yves Lesage (France)

This series was created over the course of a four-day masterclass led by Stefan Rappo in Paris, with two full days of shooting and a beautiful team of collaborators. We explored the city and returned to the calm of the studio — two rhythms that shaped the flow of the images.

The series unfolds as a triptych of energies and presences:

Julia, with her yellow glasses and composed presence, moves with her man suit through sunlit streets in a quiet, almost cinematic reverie — her gaze is tinted by spring and reflection.

Mary-Jane, with her sculptural bob and mercurial energy, shifts from one frame to the next like a shapeshifter. At times, she appears as a startled deer, caught mid-motion in a patch of light; elsewhere, she becomes a bold, angular figure — a piece of living geometry escaped from the 1980s. Her presence brings a tension between instinct and abstraction.

Alex, shot in the soft shadows of the studio, brings stillness and strength — his poses are stripped down, almost elemental, shaped only by slow shutter speed and personality.
