I decided to improve my skills on a workshop with Ed Kashi, especially him because I wanted to have an american photographer’s point of view on my work. I did a little story about a butcher’s shop in Paris, but I lacked editing skills. That’s why I was interested to work with Ed Kashi by editing a story I did in Haiti 2 weeks ago. I spent two days in the main fire station at Port-Au- Prince, the capital. A writer and I did a general report about the country (economy, agriculture, etc) and with those firemen we focused on how the public services worked (or didn’t) in Haiti. The fire station is in a very poor state since the 2010 earthquake and even though it’s situated in the city center, there is no money coming from up to build a new one. Almost 120 firemen split in two groups work there. They do a 24h service. This was the first time I did a long report like this abroad and I hope to have the opportunity to do more of them in the future.
When i was a kid, i wished i had a job that offers me the liberty to discover the world. Today, i’m interested in politics, youth, extreme skiing and french crepes with sugar from Bretagne. In 2008, I graduated at EMI-CFD school in Paris and became a photojournalist. I am now 26 and live in Paris riding a bike to work but I also love to take the train to my home region in the for Rhône-Alpes, where I spend half of my time. And If you need my services abroad, no worries, I’m not intimidated by long flights or boat journeys.

"Emma a pris une heure depuis Londres via Skype pour regarder mon travail sur les pompiers. J'ai été ravi de son retour et de ses précieux conseils de rédactrice photo dans un quotidien d'importance.J'ai pu lui poser des questions comme : est ce que cette image doit être là ou pas ou à qui pourrais je proposer cette série ?
Elle a été très généreuse puisqu'elle m'a aussi fait une revue de mon site web, d'autres travaux et m'a donné des liens vers les projets d'autres photographes. C'est l'intérêt de pouvoir échanger avec quelqu'un comme Emma, ça apporte d'autres horizons. Surtout comme elle anglaise, elle a une vision plus internationale. Je suis ressortis avec plein d'énergie et de motivation et un nouveau contact, Emma avec qui j'espère travailler et échanger à l'avenir. Elle m'a demandé en tout cas de la tenir au courant de mes futurs projets."
