One of the work that i am presenting here is the one I shot during the workshop in Barcelona, it is about the continuos growing of the elderly tourism in Europe. This kind of tourism grows every year and cities like Barcelona is one of the favorite destinations for the elderly. My goal was to try capture the spirit of this travelers and their peculiarities.
The second work i am presenting is part of one of my attempts to build a series. This work is about the live of the people in the « Vila Dique », this people lived illegally in this part of land in the town of Porto Alegre, since they were illegal the government provided that they were removed so that an airport lane was constructed. This place is very poor and have no attention from the government, making it very hard to live in.
My main objective in partipating in this workshop is to improve my hability in storytelling, on how to approach a history and subjects, how to interact with then and build trust so i can photograph then. I will be very pleased in attending this workshop and hope to be accepted. Now a little about myself. I have 28 years old and was born in Porto Alegre Brasil, i have a bachelor in Journalism and by march of 2015 will have completed my master studies in advanced communication also in Brazil. Since september 2014 i am living in Giessen/Germany and will be living here for the next 4 years. After the end of my master i will start looking for photography assigments and freelance in the region. I have double citzenship, Brazilian/French and can speak, besides portuguese and english, french, spanish and now a little bit of german.
