Julia Lindemalm is a photographer, artist, and writer based in Malmö, Sweden.
She works on commission for organizations, media, and companies, often focusing on topics related to animals, the environment, and social issues.
Alongside assignments, she develops long-term projects exploring the relationship between humans and animals – a theme she has returned to in books, exhibitions, and talks. Her publications include Katt People (2017) and Zoo World (2018), and her project The Others / De Andra was exhibited at Dunkers Kulturhus, curated by Finnish artist Aapo Huhta.
She also works as a photojournalist and writer, with reportages regularly published in Svenska Dagbladet’s weekend culture section. Her teaching includes workshops and lectures in visual storytelling, documentary photography, and socially engaged practice.
