Brief Encounters in Amsterdam
de James Hall (Royaume-Uni)
James Hall is a photographer based in the north of Scotland whose focus is landscape, portrait and pictorial photography. He has a particular interest in photogravure which he uses for some of his own work. His work has previously been selected for the Portrait of Britain competition.
His series ‘Brief Encounters in Amsterdam’ was made over two days through a series of brief sittings of no more than 30 minutes. The subjects were a series of volunteers, many of them highly capable professional photographers who wanted to experience for themselves how it feels to be in front of the camera. I hope the experience was as positive for them as it was for me.
