Creating photographs allows me to connect my emotions with the reality that surrounds me.
The act of registering the light reflected or hidden by objects, persons, buildings and different elements of nature, represents a creative and liberating action that gives course to numerous inquietudes that only the camera allows me to express.
Borrowing the light’s reflection of only a few elements from my environment in a fraction of time, is an exercise that makes me observe, listen and transcribe as precisely as possible, my interpretation through a camera. Emotions attract my eye and soul.
On this images I present, I mixed emotional portraits from different models at Todd Hiddo´s workshop with photos of one of my series called “Nostalgic dreams”.
My series “Nostalgic dreams” is about the paradox of enjoying the present and the past at the same time. Nostalgia makes us think that the past was always better and makes us forget that today we create tomorrow’s memories. Using vintage toys, playgrounds and landscapes I try to recreate my nostalgic feelings and my anxiety for living every minute at its best.
