Ariana Gomez was born in Austin, TX, and made her way to Rochester, NY to attend college at the Rochester Institute of Technology. She graduated with a BFA in advertising photography and moved to New York City shortly after graduation. She has been living and working here since 2010 and concentrates on documenting the small, seemingly insignificant moments throughout the city. Her work focuses on the self in relation to living within the ordinary and mundane.
Ariana has exhibited in three group shows both in the US and internationally – the most recent showing a selection of works from her travels in Cuba at Gallery R in Rochester, NY. She has also shown work at the Juraplatz Public Art Space in Biel/Bienne Switzerland and ThePrintSpace Gallery in London.
