I use photography to capture fleeting moments in the streets and in people’s lives—moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.

I am drawn to photography with a cinematic feel, both in terms of color and scenic composition. Recently, I’ve been seeking out scenes in the streets that resemble film stills, but then unstaged.

The series I created during this workshop is a continuation and further development of this concept. However, the introduction of portraits brought a new dimension to the work.

I titled the series REMEMBERING PARIS. About two decades ago, I lived in Paris for six years, a time I look back on with fond nostalgia.

By combining cinematic aesthetics, street scenes, and moody portraits, I aimed to evoke a fittingly retro atmosphere for the story. The inclusion of portraits enriched the narrative, a discovery I owe to Todd Hido’s workshop.
