A search for jewish identity

by Bjørn Olav Hammerstad (Norway)

I work as a journalist and photographer in Dagen, a daily newspaper in Norway. I have been working as a journalist for eight years, and for the last two years I have been focussing more on photography. I like the combination of the two because its all about telling a story that could make a difference in a single persons life, in a community, country or even in the world.

In my job I cover religious and social issues. During the Eyes in Progress workshop, I wanted to find a photo project in line with those issues. I was wondering how judaism is expressed from a new generation of jews in Paris.
