BIOGRAPHY

Alys is a Franco-British photographer. She has long worked with analogue photography, but more recently she has been creating with AI. Across each, there’s a remarkable synergy of style, colour and light. In both, she brings her wry observation, with the idiosynchrasies of life a recurrent theme.

She meticulously crafts her AI-generated images, inputting her own photography into the process. She layers her own colour grades and retouch to create images that give a strong sense of her distinctive, human touch, making her creations uniquely her own. Her approach, and ours, is grounded in the belief that to produce the very best work, we have a workflow that totally engages our creative industry partners and can include real life casting, styling and location scouting to inform and shape the end result.

A recent client said… “Subtlety. Equilibrium. Humour. Like a surprising and balanced recipe, Alys’ work always gives me fascination, pleasure, amusement and curiosity. As if something was always about to happen, fall, change, leave or come. Playing gracefully with textures, colors and light, she captures the essence of life : severity and joy that makes it both absurd and beautiful, deep and funny, rough and tender, timeless and ephemeral. Her work has the poetry of Paris and the humour of British jokes, probably influenced by her mixed origins.”
