Valentina Camozza

Josephine Salon

by Valentina Camozza (France)

My name is Valentina and I am an italian photographer based in Paris. I mostly work in news photography and I felt the need to improve my story telling. I am passionate about documentary photography I decided to participate in this workshop to improve my photographic story telling. I chose to tell the story of the Josephine Salon which is a social beauty salon in Paris. This is a place where women that are in precarious situation can go and take care of themselves for a symbolic price, finding the help of a coiffeur, learn to do their make up, borrow clothes for job interviews and have psychological support.

Portfolio from the News Photography workshop with David Burnett, June 2014.

Personal meeting with DAPHNE ANGLES,
