Sebastien pays a specific attention to esthetic. The aim of he’s work is to share emotions, to offer a different outlook on familiar urban landscapes and re-tell, through his pictures, stories from his travels.
Working on dyptics for Berlin is a symbol. Indeed the city is still bearing lots of signs of a double sided identity. Nevertheless it’s more a graphical and esthetical approach which drove the choice of association between pictures, rather than a willingness of opposing East and West. The size of the city, the emptiness of some places, the communism footprint, the flurishing industry as well as the contrast between loneliness are the recurrent theme of this serie.
