Rene grew up in the suburbs of Zurich West, Switzerland, where he still lives but spending part of his time in his second home in Mürren/Bern, in the centre of the Swiss Alps. As a self-taught photographer, he learned about the art of light in the mountains, composing pictures around the unlimited alpine nature where he worked the last years. In the last period of time he started combining his work with people to catch feelings and emotions in the moment of truth.

His actual images reflect his work with light and shadow in the old part of Barcelona. Connecting this with people, objects and gestures by unveiling the beauty of everyday life.
