Bamaama Homeland - Mother's homeland

by Peter Bauza (Brazil)

Bamaama Homeland | mother ́s homeland. A country is defined by a population that keeps its history in its genes. The Republic of Uganda and its inhabitants are not an exception to this rule. These images from Uganda try to reveal the aftermath of the country ́s turbulent past and the spirit of resistance in its people, specially its youth, who deal with the daily challenges of hard work, education, easy money, religion and the scars of war.
