During the Anders Petersen’s workshop we trained to shoot portraits of strangers. This was a new kind of exercise for me, I didn’t have any particular concept in mind and was focused on overcoming my fear of approaching strangers in Barcelona. In the end I got 3 portraits (009, 010, 011).
I was born in Rostov-on-Don, Russia in 1985. I have a degree in applied mathematics. My interests are shared between photography and film. I studied documentary filmmaking in Marina Razbezhkina and Mikhail Ugarov School of Documentary Cinema and Theatre in Moscow. I made two documentary movies and at the moment am working on a photobook about the birth of my son and the death of my rat.
