“Les arbres sont des poèmes de la terre écris sur le ciel.”- Khalil Gibran
Time is relative, and so it goes with creating art and the life of trees. In the darkroom, 9 hours can feel like 20 minutes; and for trees, human generations come and go. Trees are our constant companions, and the romance remains. Paris has an incredible history, and the trees are its fortunate witnesses. The oldest recorded planted tree in Paris is well over 500 years old, but there are certainly older in the city. This project is homage to the eldest Parisians.
