A Woman through Blue

by Lydia Zhou (USA)

I march across great waters like a queen,
Blue is the shore where the girl keeps living.
If you swallow me, you’re drained.
Blue is the color of our recovered narrative.
A child’s past imagination.
I am blue: aqua, indigo, turquoise.
Hold your breath, I say
Submerge into the unknown.

Portfolio from the Produce a photographic series workshop with Todd Hido, June 2024.
