Famille de Jardin

by Jodie C Taylor (Germany)

I am an emerging documentary photographer with a focus on sustainability and how humans interact with the environment. Originally from Australia and residing in Germany, I am always seeking spaces that connect people to nature and to one another. During the workshop with Ed Kashi, I documented an urban garden in central Paris; Jardin Le Toit. This urban garden atop a gymnasium is unlike other community gardens – the collective is an intimate and welcoming family. Growing food together, cooking together, connecting. These photographs were made over two visits to the garden.

Portfolio from the Visual Storytelling for Impact and Meaning workshop with Ed Kashi, July 2019.
