Père Lachaise

by Isla Kriss (United Kingdom)

This series was shot in the cemetery Pére Lachaise in Paris. The initial intention was to document a man in his work, however during the course of the workshop it became apparent that a more compelling story lied in his habitual visits to the cemetery. He became a guide. The resulting images show a ghost like essence to statues and inscriptions on tombstones; reflections of hidden secrets belonging to people long gone.
