When I look back at what I saw, I’m able to discover many surprises and often, something special that exists unnoticed in our daily life. Of course, looking at daily life in a consistently unexpected way is not always easy. But still, the effort is important. I try to stop and feel the things in front of my eyes as much as possible. Maybe these small fragments will add up to something?
I am interested in people and their surrounding environment. Sometimes both, sometimes just the latter. I document my observations and perspective through my viewfinder. I walk around without any specific destination. With plenty of questions: What are people doing there? What are they thinking? What’s their situation? Are they happy in the choices they have made? Their relationships with other people… My camera helps me to find answers… Or at least some of them.
