Now working as an educator, I maintain a committed personal practice grounded in light as a transformative force. My imagery explores how narrative and emotional resonance emerge through constructed photographic scenes. During this residency, I challenged myself by working within domestic spaces, at times positioning myself as the subject. The resulting body of work, Fold, continues my exploration of intimacy and stillness, reflecting a deeply personal dialogue between space, self, and the photographic frame.
In this series, I explore the quiet tension of solitude within domestic and natural spaces. The work reflects on what surfaces when we are left alone — how gesture, fabric and light can fold memory, presence and absence into a single frame.
I am a Sydney-based photographer and art educator with over 30 years’ experience in the visual arts, specialising in photography. Holding degrees in Photography, Visual Arts, and Art Education, my practice spans commercial, editorial, and conceptual fields. My work has been exhibited nationally, including solo shows at Anna Pappas Gallery and Queensland Centre for Photography, and I have been a finalist in prizes such as the Citibank Private Bank Australian Photographic Portrait Prize, Head On Portrait Prize and the Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award.
