On Wednesday July 21st 2021, French cinemas, museums and sports venues began asking visitors on to furnish proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test.
The Eiffel Tower was among the venues that began implementing the checks, offering antigen tests to visitors in one of two tents set up in front of the monument’s two entrances, just before the security check.
The so-called “health pass” is required for all events or places with more than 50 people, before being extended to restaurants, cafes and shopping centres in August.
