Born in Strasbourg, Anne Warter studied History in La Sorbonne, Paris.
She moved to Ireland to complete her master and graduated with a Diploma in Film Production.
She works as a freelance Assistant Director on Feature Films and TV.
In conjonction to her work in films, she pursues her personal work in photography, exploring an oniric world of landscapes and places populated by lonely figures, that are at once real and insubstantial, that loom in the light and dissolve in the shadows.
This selection of images is based on a melancholic meandering, loosely based on the lyrics from a song from Gill Scott Heron.
Because I always feel like running
Not away, because there is no such place
Because, if there was I would have found it by now
Because it’s easier to run,
Easier than staying and finding out you’re the only one…who didn’t run
Because running will be the way your life and mine will be described
