Andreas J. Hirsch writings include books on Pablo Picasso, Tina Modotti, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, HR Giger and Ludwig van Beethoven as well as „The Practice of Art and Science“ (co-editor with Gerfried Stocker; Hatje Cantz, Berlin, 2017), “Creating the Future – A Brief History of Ars Electronica 1979–2019” (Hatje Cantz, Berlin, 2019) and the children’s book “Florian Featherlight and the Quest for the Magic Pearl.” – In 2019 he co-edited “Vienna. Portrait of a City” (together with Christian Brandstätter and Hans-Michael Koetzle / TASCHEN, Cologne).

As curator of Kunst Haus Wien from 2009 to 2014 he was responsible for large monographic exhibitions of photography including Tina Modotti, René Burri, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Elliott Erwitt, Linda McCartney and Andreas H. Bitesnich. He served on numerous juries and reviewing panels including Prix Ars Electronica and Eyes On Month of Photography Vienna.

The series “THE NOCTURNES OF DAY” (2014), the project “RE-READING THE CITY – Views of the Posturban Condition” (Ars Electronica Festival 2015) and the exhibition “HAVE YOU SEEN THIS? – A Photographic Odyssey through Salzburg” at the Traklhaus on the Salzburg Fortress in 2019 are part of his photographic oeuvre. His book of photography „BEETHOVEN IN VIENNA” (Edition Lammerhuber, Baden) came out in late 2019.

Photographs from his ongoing portrait-series “LOVE OVER HATE – The Art of Peace” (presented at various exhibitions in Austria and Italy between 2016-2020) received an Honorable Mention at the 15th Julia Margaret Cameron Award in 2020.

- Deadlines:
There is a delay of 3 days between the date we receive the photographer’s application and the date we are able to confirm or not the session with the Mentor.

- Payment:
Right after submitting his application throughout the Eyes in Progress’s website, the photographer is invited to pay the full stated price (via an email sent from PayZen credit card payment platform).
Applications can only be processed after receiving the full payment.

- Feedback/Testimonies:
Eyes in Progress will contact the photographer once the session is done in order to ask for his feedback.

- If the Mentor is not available and the photographer chooses to cancel the process, the photographer will receive a full refund in the delay of 3 days after the photographer sends his bank details to Eyes in Progress (IBAN and BIC/ SWIFT code).

- If the photographer decides to cancel for whatever reasons after the Mentor has agreed to the session, Eyes in Progress will reimburse 50% of the paid price.
